For several years, Brenda provided physical therapy for my 90+ year old mother - and so much more! She is caring, compassionate, professional, patient, nurturing, loving, encouraging, respectful and skilled at her physical therapy. I'll never forget the surprised look on the nursing home's staff when they saw Mom and Brenda walking down the hallway, with Mom using her walker instead of her wheelchair. The staff had been too busy to thoroughly assess Mom's capabilities, despite our family's description, and believed she was permanently wheelchair-bound.
Brenda's patience in taking time to fully understand Mom and her capabilities made such a positive difference. She was also expert at coaxing Mom to do her scheduled exercises when Mom wasn't in the mood. Her instructions were clear and easy for my mother to understand, and appropriate for Mom's skill level, adjusted to fit as she improved. I highly recommend Brenda as a gifted physical therapist for you or your loved one. In my opinion, from first-hand experience, there is no one better!

My physical therapist Brenda provided excellent care and helped me a great deal. If it wasn’t for her, I probably wouldn’t have come this far. It was a joy seeing her and I hated to see it end. She is a good person and a great physical therapist. I cannot say enough about her.

I highly recommend Brenda as an in-home physical therapist. My husband had a debilitating stroke and was confined to a wheelchair and was unable to stand or walk on his own. Our goal was to increase his strength and mobility so that I could care for him at home. Brenda came to our home twice weekly for many years. Brenda was knowledgeable and creative to individualize his treatment plan. She used many exercises plus walking with a walker to keep strength in his legs. We even walked outside using the wheelchair and walker, along with my help, to accomplish this goal. Brenda was positive, caring, and encouraging. I was able to care for my husband at home for 13 years.Brenda was a blessing to us.

My mother entered Alexian Brothers with severe chest pains due to a congestive heart that she had suffered for years. She was there for 5 weeks before she passed. I visited my mother every day during that time, so I became acquainted with her nurses, aids, and other caregivers, as well as familiar with the quality of her care as I observed it. I want to express my sincere appreciation for the care that my mother received. The staff was extremely kind and sympathetic to my mother’s condition, and I feel they afforded her the best possible treatment. The level of care seemed always fitting and harmonious with the health needs of my mother, as her condition worsened. Having said that, I want to applaud Brenda, my mom’s Physical Therapist.

I want to commend Physical Therapist Brenda with 5 stars. She worked very, very hard to achieve progress with Jack during his 3 months in the skilled care unit. He has been home 11 weeks and is doing fine. He has a caregiver for 10 hours a day as he still needs maximum assistance. However, he is home and that is a blessing. Thank you!

Brenda shows such caring and patience, especially for our elderly mother. She is a great asset to this hospital and so dedicated to her profession.
