Frequently Asked Questions

We realize you may have a lot of questions regarding the care and rehabilitation of yourself or your loved one. Please read through these FAQs and contact us with any additional questions, concerns or clarifications.

Is a doctor’s prescription needed?

No. A doctor’s prescription is not needed. The state of IL has a direct access law that allows a person to be treated by a physical therapist without a doctors order. However, it is a physical therapist’s professional responsibility to refer a client to see their doctor if the patient’s condition is beyond the scope of practice for a physical therapist.

Is Insurance accepted?

No Place Like Home does not accept insurance and offers private pay sessions only. If, after the initial phone conversation and/or the initial in-home session, the physical therapist determines that the potential client may qualify (meet the criteria) for physical therapy to be reimbursed by Medicare or another insurance, this will be communicated to the client.

What is the cost of private pay therapy?
No Place Like Home bills $125 per session. An custom plan and estimate will be provided before any services are started.
Do I work with the same physical therapist?

Yes, you will work with the same physical therapist throughout the duration of your physical therapy. We wholeheartedly believe that the building of personal relationships is directly correlated with the success of the physical therapy progression.
